Job description
- Developing structural designs and creating detailed drawings and specifications.
- Conducting structural analysis using appropriate tools and software to ensure designs meet safety and performance standards.
- Evaluating the strength, stability, and rigidity of structures.
- Coordinating with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to integrate structural design with overall project plans.
- Preparing project proposals, budgets, and schedules.
- Monitoring project progress and ensuring timely completion within budget.
- Providing technical support and guidance during construction.
- Inspecting construction sites to ensure work is executed according to plans and specifications.
- Addressing any design or construction issues that arise promptly.
- Ensuring designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
- Preparing detailed reports, presentations, and documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
- Master’s degree is preferred but not required.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in structural engineering, preferably within the construction industry.
- Experience with designing a variety of structures including residential, commercial, and industrial buildings.
- Proficiency in structural design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SAP2000, and STAAD.Pro, and other relevant tools.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
